Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy uses the natural state of hypnosis to support change, whether that is breaking unhelpful habits, easing anxiety, or preparing for important life events. A session usually begins with a conversation about what you want to achieve and the approaches we will use together. I then guide you into a deeply relaxed state where your unconscious mind becomes more open to positive suggestion. You remain fully in control throughout and can come out of hypnosis at any time if you choose. Most people describe the experience as calming, refreshing, and empowering. There are many ways hypnotherapy can be used, but one of the most valuable applications for my clients is in preparing for the court process. Stepping into such a high-pressure environment can be daunting, and hypnotherapy helps anchor you to a positive frame of mind so that you can approach it with clarity, strength, and confidence.
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming: Neuro – our nervous system, the mind, and the way we process experience through our five senses: visual, auditory, kinaesthetic (feeling), olfactory (smell), and gustatory (taste). Linguistic – the language and communication systems, both verbal and nonverbal, that give meaning to our experiences. This includes pictures, sounds, feelings, tastes, smells, and the words of our inner self-talk. Programming – the patterns, habits, and strategies we use in how we think, feel, and behave. By understanding these, we can begin to create new and more useful ways of responding to life. Put simply, NLP is about learning the language of the mind so that you can achieve the outcomes you truly want. Often, we become so used to the negative thought patterns running in the background that we stop noticing them. Through NLP, I work with all of your senses to help you notice these patterns, shift them, and begin to make sense of your new world with clarity and purpose.
Time Line Therapy™
Time Line Therapy™ (TLT) is a powerful hypnotic approach created by NLP practitioner Tad James. Rooted in NLP, it works on the understanding that our unconscious mind stores memories in a linear pattern, almost like a mental photo album of our life. I use this method in many different ways with my clients, but one of the most profound and successful applications is supporting them to gain closure on situations or conversations that have been left open ended. By working with the timeline of the mind, we can gently release what has been left unresolved, bringing a sense of peace, freedom, and clarity.

Amanda's Journey
Amanda’s journey into mentoring began through personal experience. After navigating the challenges of her own divorce, she felt strongly that no one should have to face the same feelings of isolation and uncertainty alone. A natural people person, she has spent her entire career supporting others and showing her children that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Her professional background is rooted in the Health and Social Care sector, where she spent many years as a manager across multiple disciplines, particularly in learning disabilities. Amanda was known for championing people’s voices, ensuring they could live the lives they wanted rather than the lives the system expected of them. This passion extended to her staff teams too, often working unsociable hours and balancing demanding roles with home life. She encouraged personal and career growth in others and continually trained herself to give the best support possible.
Away from work, Amanda’s life is grounded in nature and creativity. She is the proud owner of a campervan she lovingly calls the Freedom Wagon, and she loves the open road, fresh air and space to explore. Irish dancing is in her bones, and her values of honesty, transparency and integrity guide her in every part of life, from parenting through to the sensitive conversations she now has with her clients.
Amanda’s proudest achievement is her children and the way they have grown into balanced, resilient young people despite the challenges of divorce. Today, she channels her own journey to create a safe and trusting space where others can begin to discover the strength and potential that has always been inside them. She believes in turning painful experiences into something meaningful, helping people not just to recover but to truly thrive.
